Influencer Soraya Sahli on trial for her daughter’s death

Accused of killing Lydia, her two-month-old daughter, in a hotel room in Saint-Gilles on February 19, 2019, influencer Soraya Sahli, 31, appeared before the Brussels Assize Court on Wednesday.

During this trial, investigators returned to the report prepared by the forensic doctor at the request of the investigating judge in charge of the case, after the reconstruction of the facts, carried out on August 7, 2019. During the reconstruction, Soraya Sahli recalled her actions on the night of February 18 to 19, 2019. She said she arrived in her hotel room around midnight and went down to reception at 3 a.m. to ask for help after noticing that her baby was no longer breathing.
