In the Netherlands, a minister of Moroccan origin resigns after racist remarks

The Dutch government is shaken by a major political crisis following the resounding resignation of the Secretary of State for Finance, Nora Achahbar, of Moroccan origin.

The latter slammed the door by accusing members of the government of racism. Intolerable remarks were reportedly made during a council of ministers, following clashes that occurred last week in Amsterdam between Israeli supporters and local residents.
