In Morocco, the threat of scorpion and snake bites

The increase in cases of scorpion stings and snake bites in the province of Settat concerns MP Mustapha Kacimi of the Istiqlalian group in the House of Representatives, who sent a written question on this subject to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

“The inhabitants of the Beni Meskine constituency in Bouregrag in particular, and of the province of Settat in general, are experiencing a catastrophe due to the spread of scorpions and poisonous insects,” Kacimi said in his written question, specifying that “scorpions and poisonous insects represent a great danger to the health and safety of the inhabitants, in particular for children and the elderly.”
