In Morocco, the threat of a rise in chicken prices looms

In Morocco, chicken prices are likely to increase in the coming days due to increases in input prices, warned the National Association of Broiler Chicken Breeders in Morocco (ANPC).

The Association expressed concerns about the increase in the prices of elements used in the production of broiler chickens, revealing that the price of chicks has reached nearly nine dirhams and that the price of compound feed has not seen any decrease while it has fallen on the world market. This situation will lead to an additional cost of chicken production that will contribute to the loss of small breeders and the destruction of the purchasing power of Moroccans, already weakened by galloping inflation and high prices of sheep for the Eid al-Adha sacrifice.
