In Morocco, a mysterious disease decimates camels

Affected by a rare disease, many camels died in Zagora and Mhamid El Ghizlane to the general surprise of breeders and professionals in the tourism sector. They call the authorities and competent organizations for help.

The origin of this as yet unidentified disease is not yet clear. In a statement to Al3Omkmany breeders assume that grass consumed by the animals may have caused this disease. However, they are surprised that certain camels that do not graze in the wild were also affected. They are also surprised by the appearance of this disease, which they had never observed before, and how quickly it has spread to different areas. Faced with the situation, some breeders gave herbs and turned to traditional treatments, such as cauterization, to try to save sick camels.
