In Marrakech, the police are cracking down
Several people have been arrested in Marrakech for prostitution, alcohol consumption, begging and other charges as part of the fight against urban incivility.
Jemaa el-Fna Square and its surroundings are confronted with deviant behavior. In accordance with the instructions of the wali, the police services have launched a vast campaign to combat these urban incivilities. Supervised by the local authorities, this campaign is already bearing fruit: four people illegally working as tourist guides have been arrested. 7 people have been arrested for vagrancy, 11 others for begging, 7 people for dangerous driving. Four individuals have been arrested for alcohol consumption, four others for prostitution, and two people for gambling.
