Parking attendants continue to dictate their law in Agadir, requiring vehicle owners to pay sometimes exorbitant rates. The phenomenon arouses indignation among residents who point out that local authorities have announced free parking for everyone, including tourists.

Motorists denounce the laxity of local authorities and administrative police services who take no action to put an end to the phenomenon of illegal parking guards. The latter continue to impose parking rates, while the Agadir municipal council announced free parking, both for residents and tourists, recalls Al-Akhbar.
