French retirees in Morocco are invited to validate the life certificate which is necessary to receive their retirement pension via biometric recognition of their phone.

The Agirc-Arrco supplementary pension scheme recalls the new solution offered to French retirees abroad for the annual verification of their existence with the implementation of a biometric recognition system. Nearly 1.2 million policyholders residing abroad must each year prove their existence to all French schemes which pay them a pension by validating their life certificate. Previously, several ways of carrying out this process were offered to them: by mail, online with the My retirement abroad service, or even without any particular procedure thanks to the automatic exchange of civil status data between France and a certain number of of countries.
