How Morocco optimizes collective lands
In Morocco, the Ministry of the Interior is working to strengthen partnerships with public and private actors in order to increase investment in collective land available in the prefectures and provinces of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region.
Responding to a parliamentary question, Abdelouafi Laftit, Minister of the Interior, said that his department has mobilized approximately 12,000 hectares of collective land spread over the prefectures and provinces of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region in favor of investment. In all, 1,042 hectares were mobilized, including 384 hectares subdivided and 233 hectares rented through rental contracts, in addition to the legal regularization of approximately 3,150 hectares of illegally exploited land were mobilized in the province of Sidi Kacem.
