Housing assistance in Morocco: a program popular with MREs
THE Moroccans living abroad (MRE) play an important role in the success of the direct housing assistance program, according to Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, Minister of National Territorial Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy.
As of November 5, 28,458 people have benefited from this system, including a quarter of Moroccans residing abroad (MRE). The State contributed 2.3 billion dirhams, or 20% of the total value of housing acquired, which amounts to 11.4 billion dirhams.
