Hotels in Agadir lose their stars

Some 54 hotels and 31 restaurants operating in Agadir do not comply with food health, hygiene and safety rules. This is the observation made by the provincial committee in charge of the control, monitoring and classification of these units, after having carried out unannounced visits to 130 establishments since the start of this year.

Of the 130 establishments visited by the provincial committee, 85 received formal notices and warnings, relays Al-Akhbar. Only 43 hotels managed to maintain their ranking and six restaurants were “concerned by a lowering of rating”, informs the daily, adding that “all the units controlled and in which breaches of the law were observed were ordered to remedy to their flaws” within “specific deadlines”, “under penalty of having their operating license withdrawn”.
