Holidays: Moroccans tighten their belts

Just over half of Moroccan families do not plan to go on vacation this summer. For the others, a large majority plan to stay in Morocco.

Holidays too expensive for Moroccans? According to a study carried out by the Sunergia firm, reported by the daily AssabahThe average spending on vacations this year is 9,800 dirhams. 40% of individuals who travel for vacations spend between 5,000 and 8,000 dirhams. 31% of travelers spend more than 10,000 dirhams, while 29% of respondents spend less than 5,000 dirhams, the study specifies. 16% of respondents plan a budget of more than 20,000 dirhams, 9% support spending 10,000 dirhams for their summer trips, 30% of respondents say they will spend a budget of 5,000 dirhams.
