Highways: here are Morocco’s ambitions for 2025

Aziz Akhannouch’s government has great ambitions for road and motorway infrastructure. It reveals the major projects contained in the Information Note accompanying the 2025 Finance Bill.

In the road sector, the government plans to continue carrying out urgent actions included within the framework of the emergency rehabilitation and assistance program for the reconstruction of housing destroyed following the Al Haouz earthquake, in particular the upgrading of two sections of the national road RN7, linking “Ouirgane” to “Tlat N’yacoub” in the province of Al Haouz over a length of 34 km, and “Tizi N’tasset” to “Tafinghout” in the province of Taroudant over a length of 30 km for 665.5 million DH, and road connectivity to the New Port Nador West Med (NWM) including credits scheduled in 2025 (100 million DH in payment credits and 1.8 billion DH in credits commitment), correspond to the consolidation of markets relating to the duplication of the RN2 and the development of the RN16.
