Muslims in France are now set on the start date of the month of Ramadan, as well as the amount of the Zakat al-Fitr. The French Muslim worship council (CFCM) made the announcements on Tuesday.
According to the calculation criteria adopted by the body in 2013, the visibility of the new moon “will be observable from Friday, February 28, 2025 in almost all of the globe,” said the CFCM in a press release. “The first day of the month of Ramadan 1446 h will (therefore) on Saturday March 1, 2025,” announces the Muslim organization.
