The Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech leaves Chelsea permanently for Galatasaray. The Turkish club exercised the purchase option which became free thanks to clauses made at the end of the year.

With eight goals and four assists in 23 matches, Hakim Ziyech was able to convince Galatasaray and continues the adventure in Turkey. Loaned last season from Chelsea in a deal worth 3.6 million euros ($3.86 million), he officially signed for one season, plus one option, on Friday in Galatasaray. The Turkish club exercised the purchase option which became free thanks to clauses made at the end of the year. Galatasaray have signed Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea on a free transfer, the SüperLig champion announced in a statement, specifying that the 32-year-old will receive a net annual salary of 2.85 million euros ($3.05 million) for the 2024-2025 season. “In accordance with the agreement, if the conditional extension option is realized, the footballer will receive a net annual salary of 2.85 million euros for the 2025-2026 season,” adds the same source.
