Heavy snowfall paralyzes Morocco

Heavy snowfall paralyzed several national, regional and provincial roads in the Middle Atlas regions, with motorists finding themselves stranded for several hours.

The Middle Atlas regions, particularly in the province of Ifrane and its surroundings, experienced significant falls, surprising many drivers. As a result, traffic was disrupted on several roads, causing the closure of other roads to traffic. These include national road No. 13, linking the commune of Azrou to that of Témahdite and provincial road No. 7231 linking Ifrane to Hebri via Michlifen. National road No. 8 linking the commune of Azrou to the province of Ifrane has also been closed to the circulation of all kinds of vehicles since the early hours of Monday, reports Assaba.
