Heat wave in Morocco (47 degrees)

Morocco will face an exceptional heatwave until Friday, with temperatures reaching up to 47°C in some regions, according to an “Orange” alert level bulletin from the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).

From this Tuesday, the provinces of Figuig, Jerada, Zagora, Tinghir, Errachidia and Tata will be the first to be affected, with temperatures ranging between 41 and 45 °C. The heat will then spread to other regions, such as Ouezzane, Guercif, Taourirt, Oujda-Angad, Boulemane, Sefrou, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Taza, Fez, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, Youssoufia and Ouarzazate, where the mercury will reach 39 to 42 °C from Wednesday to Thursday.
