Hassan II: the future large stadium of Benslimane and its 115,000 seats

The large stadium that Morocco will build in Benslimane in preparation for the 2030 World Cup, which it will co-host alongside Spain and Portugal, now bears the name of King Mohammed VI’s father, Hassan II.

The future stadium in Benslimane is now called the Grand Stade Hassan II. 2M devoted a report to it broadcast on Wednesday in the evening news. “The grand stadium that will be built in Benslimane (west), with a capacity of 115,000 seats, will be exceptional in every way. It will be the largest and best football monument in the world and will contribute to the influence of the cultural heritage that the kingdom abounds in,” said Fouzi Lekjaâ, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) on the sidelines of an extended meeting held Wednesday in the city of Casablanca (west) to assess preparations for hosting the World Cup, chaired by the Moroccan Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit. In addition to the head of Moroccan football, the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, Mohamed Mhidia and other stakeholders participated in the meeting.
