Gendarmes heavily sentenced in Morocco

The Rabat Court of Appeal on Monday sentenced three gendarmes, including a warrant officer, to nine years in prison and an individual fine of 100,000 dirhams for falsifying police reports.

The Court of Appeal has confirmed the sentences handed down at first instance against the three gendarmes, the daily reports. Al-Akhbarrecalling that the accused had been sentenced to nine years in prison and an individual fine of 100,000 dirhams, and to each pay 25,000 dirhams to the former gendarme who constituted himself a civil party in this case.
