Gas in Morocco: rising prices, falling consumption
Moroccans consumed less gas last summer due to the increase in the price of a 12-kilo gas bottle, decided by the government, reveals a recent report.
During the first eight months of the year, 1.938 million tonnes of butane gas were consumed in Morocco, which represents approximately 161.47 million 12-kilogram bottles. During the summer season, demand fell significantly to 58.62 million bottles, a decrease of 0.41 million bottles compared to the same period of the previous year, indicates the compensation report annexed to the draft 2025 finance law.
