Gad Elmaleh converted to Christianity? The comedian responds

Moroccan-Canadian comedian and actor Gad Elmaleh responds to rumors about his alleged conversion to Christianity.

His film “Reste un peu”, released in November 2022, in which the character he plays abandons Judaism for Christianity, makes it appear that Gad Elmaleh converted to Christianity. In an interview on the set of the show Legend, he assures that this is not the case. He specifies that he is “not converted” to Christianity and that he has “not asked for baptism”. The comedian explained that he was “very open with faith”. However, he deplores that “the fact of being open in this fraternity and reaching out to brothers and sisters of other religions does not please many people”.
