Futsal World Cup: Does Portugal fear Morocco?

After its victory over Tajikistan (4-2) and Panama (6-3), the Moroccan futsal team will face Portugal, for its third match of the 2024 World Cup, which is being held from September 14 to October 6 in Uzbekistan. Portuguese coach Jorge Braz believes that this meeting “will not be easy”.

“I speak from time to time with Mr. Hicham Dguig (coach of the Moroccan team), what he does with Morocco is impressive, declared Jorge Braz in a press conference after his team’s victory against Tajikistan (3-2) and its qualification for the round of 16, just like the Moroccan team. He is full of praise for the Atlas Lions. I have great respect for the Moroccan team (…) with its personality, its enthusiasm and its sense of risk when faced with difficulties during matches, as well as its style of play. I really like this team because of the remarkable work that has been done, especially during the last Africa Cup of Nations, which the Moroccan team won, added the Portuguese coach.”
