Fuels in Morocco: “indecent” margins pointed out

In Morocco, fuel distributors have made major profits between the second and third quarter of the year 2024 to the chagrin of motorists.

Nine oil companies have increased their profits from the sale of diesel and fuel by 20 % and 11 % respectively, reveals a report by the Competition Council. In detail, the margin of sale of diesel went from 1.21 dirham per liter to 1.46 dirham between the second and third quarter of the year 2024. As for petrol, the margin climbed 1.79 dirham at 2 dirhams during the same period.
