From Morocco to France: a network of traffickers dismantled, 1.7 tonnes of cocaine seized
The seizure by French customs officers of 1.7 tonnes of cocaine worth 51 million euros led to the arrest of a team of poker players – among them a resident of Morocco. The merchandise was hidden in cabinets, sofas and armchairs shipped, under the guise of moving from Martinique to mainland France.
The seizure took place between July 12 and August 9, 2022. Investigators from the anti-narcotics office (Ofast) are carrying out investigations which are proving fruitful. They identified a certain Eduardo, nicknamed Dodo, who lives near Mennecy (Essonne), reports The Parisian. According to his telephone communications, he travels in Martinique, in the Oise and the Alpes-Maritimes, and is in contact with a Martinique moving company. Dodo regularly stays in Martinique in the company of accomplices who rent warehouses, vehicles and accommodation, but also purchase furniture to hide the white gold. Dodo will be arrested at his home at the end of August 2022 and four phones will be seized. According to his explanations, he worked as a croupier and manager in different Parisian gaming circles.
