French legislative elections in Morocco: La France Insoumise (LFI) in the lead in the first round



Karim Ben Cheïkh, candidate of La France Insoumise (LFI), won the first round of the early French legislative elections of June 30 in the ninth constituency of French citizens abroad, which includes Morocco. He will have to confirm his victory in the second round scheduled for July 7.


According to data from the French Interior Ministry, Karim Ben Cheikh qualified for the second round with 18,505 votes, or 51.57% of the votes cast, far ahead of Samira Djouadi of the presidential coalition Ensemble (ENS), who came second with 5,634 votes, or 15.70% of the votes cast.
