French justice inflicts a setback on the Polisario
Morocco can continue to export to France its Charentais and cherry tomatoes produced in its southern provinces. This is what emerges from a recent decision of the French Council of State which sounds like a camouflet for the Polisario and its allies.
In this decision rendered on January 28, 2025, the French Council of State considered that the Charentais melons and the cherry tomatoes produced in the Moroccan Sahara cannot be prohibited in France. It follows the complaint of the peasant confederation which required the prohibition of these products cultivated in the Sahara and carrying a Moroccan label, recalls Challenge.
