France: resident card at 1500 euros per year?

Foreigners legally present on French soil should make a specific contribution to the recovery of public accounts. At least that’s what Charles Prats, national delegate of the Union of Rights for the Republic (UDR), is proposing.

“France is on the edge of the financial precipice: more than 3,200 billion euros in public debt with a negative net situation of 1,875 billion at the end of 2023 and a deficit which will exceed 6% of GDP. We must also not forget the 4,284 billion off-balance sheet commitments at the end of 2023…”, specifies Charles Prats in an article published by Le Figaro. He will point out that “the budgetary debate on reducing public spending unfortunately does not seem to be well underway and is moving towards limited measures. What remains are the classic recipes of the French administration, crazy tax manufacturing and Olympic gold medal in taxation. The targets always remain the same: the “rich” (it’s popular, we’re always someone’s rich person…) and businesses (the bad “rogue bosses”…). »
