France remains the leading destination for Moroccan students, despite a greater preference for Anglo-Saxon countries in recent years. Some 45,162 Moroccan students have enrolled in engineering and business schools in France in 2023.

“Moroccans represent the leading student community in France, with some 45,162 enrolled in 2023 (Campus France). The country remains the one that attracts Moroccans the most, despite a slight slowdown in recent years, particularly due to the Covid-19 pandemic and recent diplomatic tensions, followed by restrictions on visas,” writes The Economist.
