France-Morocco: Towards an increase in plane ticket prices?

Michel Barnier’s government is reportedly considering increasing the solidarity tax on plane tickets to raise revenue. A measure which would lead to a significant increase in ticket prices for passengers.

In search of new revenue, the new French government plans to increase the solidarity tax on plane tickets (TSBA), reports The Echoes. This measure should lead to an increase in the prices of plane tickets for “business” or long-haul passengers and generate nearly a billion euros in revenue, adds the French economic newspaper, specifying that the TSBA currently brings in 460 million euros to the State.
