France and Germany compete to build a submarine for Morocco

A French naval group and a German competitor are competing to build the first submarine for the benefit of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces.

According to the French magazine The Tribunethe French naval group and the German manufacturer TKM are competing to build a submarine in Morocco. Morocco wishes to acquire this latest generation equipment to strengthen its naval force and ward off any Algerian threat, and change the balance of power in the Strait of Gibraltar.
