In a video shared on social networks, a French woman of North African origin recounts how she was the victim of discrimination in hiring because of her first name and her religion. The publication sparked a wave of indignation on the web.
The young woman shared on X the audio recording of the telephone interview she had with an employer. In this audio, she lets him know that his application cannot be accepted because of his first name. “Some clienteles don’t mix with everything,” she declares, before inviting the candidate to change their first name to get the job.
