For some MREs, returning to Morocco turns into a nightmare
The summer holidays turn into a nightmare for some MREs. The return home turns into an ordeal at the Melilla border. Endless queues, exasperated travellers, crying children… The picture is far from idyllic.
The cause of this chaos? The new control procedures put in place by the Spanish authorities. Intended to smooth traffic flow, the intelligent devices installed at the border post seem to have the opposite effect. Security agents, unaccustomed to these new technologies, are struggling to manage the flow of travelers. Result: waiting times are getting longer, sometimes reaching several hours.
