Football: Tunisia follows in the footsteps of Morocco
Tunisia seems to want to take inspiration from Morocco to relaunch its national football team. The Transition Committee, charged by FIFA with restoring the Tunisian Football Federation, is eyeing Vahid Halilhodžić, the Bosnian coach who qualified the Atlas Lions for the 2022 World Cup.
According to media sources, preliminary contacts have already taken place between the Committee and 72-year-old Halilhodžić. The objective: to gauge the interest of the Bosnian technician to take the reins of the Eagles of Carthage. His past successes, particularly with Morocco, make him a candidate of choice. As a reminder, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation had terminated its contract with Halilhodžić a few months before the Qatari World Cup, following “differences of points of view”.
