Food waste in Morocco: restaurants pay up

A bill proposing the imposition of financial fines to combat food waste is being studied in the Moroccan parliament.

Initiated by the parliamentary group of the National Rally of Independents (RNI), the text provides for the imposition of financial fines equivalent to double the market value of the edible food thrown away.
