Floods in Valencia: Spain accepts help from Morocco
Following the devastating floods which hit the Valencia region in Spain, a surge of international solidarity is being organized. The Spanish Interior Ministry, in coordination with the Valencian authorities, announced that it had accepted international aid.
Morocco deployed a contingent of seventy rescue workers and twenty-four trucks to participate in the clearance and debris evacuation operations. Portugal also responded to the call by sending around twenty pumps, seven construction machines (excavators and backhoes) and two transport trucks, managed by the Portuguese National Command of Emergencies and Civil Protection.
