At Fez-Saïss airport, customs officers, during a routine check, discovered a bottle in the belongings of a Spanish passenger of Moroccan origin coming from Barcelona and seized it, in order to analyze its content. The preliminary investigation reveals that these are the ashes of the remains of his father, who died two weeks ago, reports Assaba. After the body was cremated, the girl brought the ashes to Morocco in order to bury them in the region where she came from. Except that she ignores that “the legal consequences that her initiative could bring to her, because the transport to the Kingdom of Morocco of the ashes of the deceased from abroad is the subject of (provisions specified in the) legislation and regulations very strict,” the daily reports.
