Fez prepares for a giant facelift

Major projects will soon be implemented to reduce traffic congestion in Fez and improve mobility within the city, ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup, which Morocco will co-host alongside Spain and Portugal.

Fez begins developing its infrastructure. The Fez-Meknes Regional Council has announced an infrastructure development plan in the city, as part of the regional development program for the period 2022-2027, it was reported. One of the projects that will be carried out concerns the construction of hoppers worth 259 million dirhams. This project will reduce traffic congestion in the city and improve mobility within Fez. All of which will contribute to strengthening the attractiveness of the city for both tourists and investors. This project will also open new perspectives for economic and tourism development, particularly with the city’s candidacy to host the 2025 African Cup and the 2030 World Cup, it was reported.
