Fez: Anger over growing insecurity
In Fez, dozens of citizens took to the streets to vigorously protest against the insecurity that has taken hold in the city, where crimes have recently been committed.
Gathered near the headquarters of the Fez police headquarters, the protesters denounced the deterioration of the security situation in the city. They also called for a stronger police presence and strict measures to combat crime. These demonstrations follow the assassination of a forty-year-old bread seller and father of four children. This man was the victim of a criminal operation in the Ain Smen district of Fez, after trying to save a young girl from the hands of bandits who wanted to attack her. Armed with a metal object, they fatally struck him on the head. The forty-year-old died instantly. The protesters chanted slogans denouncing insecurity and calling for strict enforcement of the law and the arrest of the culprits.
