Fake passports: a Moroccan couple unmasked in Spain
A Moroccan couple living in Móstoles, in the Madrid region, was arrested by the National Police on suspicion of forging documents and violating the rights of foreign citizens. They are accused of illegally smuggling two Moroccan minors into Melilla using their own children’s passports.
The investigation, carried out by the Unit Against Illegal Immigration and Document Forgery Networks (UCRIF) of Melilla, revealed that the woman traveled twice through the Beni-Enzar border post, each time accompanying a minor. She used her daughter’s passport for the 17-year-old girl and her son’s for the 15-year-old boy, thus deceiving police checks.
