Fake papers and stolen rental cars: a criminal network dismantled in Casablanca

Four individuals suspected of forming a criminal network specializing in theft of rental vehiclesfalsification of documents and fraud were arrested on Monday October 7 in Casablanca. The operation was carried out jointly by the city’s judicial police brigade and the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST).

It was following several complaints filed by car rental agencies that the investigation began. The victims denounced a well-established operating procedure: individuals rented vehicles with false identity papers before reselling them.
