Emmanuel Macron reacts to Yassine Belattar’s “anecdotal” controversy

Asked about the controversy raised by the far right over the presence of the Franco-Moroccan comedian Yassine Belattar in the delegation accompanying him to Morocco, Emmanuel Macron declared that he was not interested in “anecdotes” during this “historic” trip to Rabat.

“I will not make any comments on things which have no interest and which are very anecdotal,” Emmanuel Macron declared on Wednesday to journalists who wanted to have his opinion on this controversy maintained by the far right. “I am not interested in anecdotes,” insisted the French president at the end of his three-day state visit, preferring to dwell on the “historic” nature of his trip to Rabat.
