Drones and artificial intelligence: the Moroccan police plan

The Moroccan Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) is actively preparing for the hosting of the African Cup of Nations in 2025 and the World Cup in 2030. To ensure the security of these major events, the authorities have put in place a complete and reinforced system, detailed in the 2024 activity report of the DGSN.

In preparation for CAN 2025, the sports cells of the host cities (Rabat, Marrakech, Fez, Agadir and Tangier) have been transformed into regional sports security teams. Equipped with increased human and logistical resources, they will work to secure the matches. A new regional service has also been created in Casablanca.
