Drawing of the CAN in Morocco: a senior Algerian Boycotte official

Morocco welcomes the best teams and managers of the continent’s federations for the draw for the 35ᵉ African Cup of Nations this Monday in Rabat. But Walid Sadi, president of the Algerian Football Federation, will shine by his absence.

Walid Sadi will not make the trip. He will therefore not attend the drawing ceremony of CAN Morocco 2025, which will take place at the National Mohammed V Theater in Rabat, at 7:00 p.m. local time (6:00 p.m. GMT/ 8:00 p.m. Cairo time). The Algerian football boss will be represented by coach Vladimir Petković, as well as the administrator of the Algerian Football Federation. This ceremony will be broadcast live on the official CAF website, but also on the free to air platforms of 46 African countries, including those of the 24 participating countries.
