Defense: Morocco prepares to produce the combat vehicle

Morocco will begin local production of the WhAP 8×8 land combat vehicle, at the factory called TATA Advanced Systems Maroc (TASM). It is the result of a strategic partnership between the National Defense Administration and the company Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), a subsidiary of the Indian conglomerate Tata Group.

The National Defense Administration and the company Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), a subsidiary of the international conglomerate Tata Group, are joining forces for the local production of the WhAP 8×8 ground combat vehicle, at the factory called TATA Advanced Systems Maroc ( TASM). The investment agreement which provides for the system of financial, tax and customs incentives, was signed by the ministers representing the Departments of National Defense, Interior, Finance, Industry and Investment, in the presence of representatives of the General Staff of the FAR and AMDIE, specifies a press release from the National Defense Administration.
