Death of Amar in Bobigny: a police officer charged with murder

Amar, a street cigarette seller, was killed on Saturday June 29 in the garage of a house he was squatting in Bobigny (Seine-Saint-Denis). His relatives denounce a racist crime.

The 32-year-old homeless man was shot dead by a 27-year-old police officer who found him squatting in his grandmother’s garage. The off-duty officer fired seven bullets at the victim, hitting him five times. The young police officer was charged with murder and remanded in custody on Monday, reports The Parisian.
