Convicted, a former Moroccan elected official on the run in France?

The former president of the provincial council of Sidi Slimane, Abdelouahed Khallouki, has disappeared. Definitively sentenced to ten years in prison for “creating a criminal gang”, he is said to have fled to France after the rejection of his appeal by the Court of Cassation.

The case dates back to 2015. Khallouki is accused of “creation of a criminal gang”, “scam”, “fraud” and “robbery” in connection with counterfeit euros. In July 2023, he was placed under investigation.
