Complaint against Moroccans who visited Israel during war in Gaza
Moroccan organizations have filed a lawsuit against a group of young people who visited Israel in early July, during the Israeli bombing of Gaza. The visit, organized by the Maroc Coexistence Association, sparked a heated debate, seen as an attempt at normalization with Israel in the midst of an escalating conflict.
The organizations behind the complaint, the National Action Group for Palestine and the Moroccan Observatory for Combating Normalization, accuse the participants of complicity with the Israeli occupation. The visit was also widely condemned on social media and even sparked a student petition to ban the participants from returning to the Al Akhawayn University campus.
