Casino franchisees accused of exploiting Moroccans

Several former employees of Casino Shop stores in Toulouse and the surrounding area, including at least one Moroccan, have decided to take legal action, denouncing “illegal and abusive practices” on the part of two managers. Their lawyer, Me Amin Flissi, discusses a large-scale case, currently examined by the industrial tribunal, and which could soon take a criminal turn.

At the heart of the accusations: the exploitation of a foreign workforce, mostly in a regular situation, hired for very short periods, sometimes longer, without any declaration to social organizations, relates The dispatch. “These employees work in deplorable conditions, spending days without rest,” denounces Me Flissi. The Casino Shop stores in Ponts-Jumeaux, Jeanne d’Arc, rue des Lois, Saint-Cyprien, Saint-Pierre as well as two Spar stores, in La Daurade and Ramonville-Saint-Agne, would be affected.
