Casablanca: War is declared on clandestine factories

If there is one issue that concerns Mohamed M’hidia, the wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, it is the proliferation of industrial units built on agricultural land, particularly near the provincial roads of Médiouna towards the commune of “Moualine El Oued” and on the road linking El Gara to Sidi Hajjaj Oued Hassar, Tit Mellil and other areas.

Based on the observation that some industrial plants carry out activities that pose risks to the health of citizens and environmental safety, including the manufacture of cleaning products, the wali of the Casablanca-Settat region sent requests for clarification to workers in different areas regarding the legal situation of these plants. This was followed by meetings at the prefecture level, bringing together caids, pashas and officials from economic departments and health services, in order to identify the number of non-regulatory industrial units, to verify the legal situation of the land hosting them and to identify individual operators and companies, reports Hespress.
