Casablanca wants to end the racketeering of car guards
The Casablanca municipal council has found a solution to put an end to the increase in the prices of “parking” fixed by car park attendants in tourist areas.
The municipal authorities of Casablanca seem to have heard the cry of distress from motorists who complain about the exorbitant rates (between 10 and 15 dirhams) imposed by car guards on Saturdays and Sundays on the Aïn Diab corniche, and others tourist areas which are crowded during this summer period marked by high temperatures. They intend to generalize parking meters, reports Aljarida24. A solution that will allow parking to be organized in a transparent and equitable manner. Parking meters should help set uniform and stable prices, making it easier for motorists to know the cost of the service without having to negotiate with guards.
